The iconic ballerina
The stylized dancer used since the 1930s as a fork in date packages was inspired by a French dancer who actually existed in a club in Marseille. It is said that Pier Luigi Noberasco frequented Marseille in those years, a city through which exotic fruit from North Africa and the East passed. Inspired by that same dancer, he designed the now famous small fork, which is both iconic and useful in equal measure.
The first pack
Packaging has accompanied and marked the success of Noberasco products over the years and, in its transformations, has perfectly captured and sometimes anticipated the "spirit of the times." The Noberasco date box was the first example of custom packaging at the beginning of the century in 1910 and is still in the catalog today, together with the stylized ballerina that accompanies it as a small fork: the founder Benedetto was able to anticipate the needs of modern distribution and bet on the added value of packaging, when products were still sold in bulk.
Today
Now Noberasco brings the ballerina into the contemporary world and transforms her into an original combination of tradition and modernity. An étoile becomes a muse. Light and graceful like a pirouette, Noberasco's Ballerina creates a world, a reality, a quality.
